Job Description

Duties and Responsibilities:

· Source opportunities to invest in start-ups across a complete range of technology verticals and assess fit, if any, with MEVP’s investment thesis

· Play a role in the entire process, from deal acquisition to intensive analysis of the company, deal structuring and negotiation, and active support through to the exit

· Meet with entrepreneurs and, work with different people, and get to know numerous industries and new business models every day

· Helping prepare investment memoranda by assembling data from multiple sources to develop and produce coherent investment recommendations

· Supporting the drafting and negotiation of investment term sheets and legal documents

· Supporting ongoing portfolio monitoring and management

· Driving all aspects of due diligence, including researching customer references, assessing competitive positioning, modeling finances and unit economics, understanding macro trends and more

· Contribute to the firm’s fundraising, operations, and processes

Candidate qualifications & traits:

• Experience in investments, a start-up and/or other high-performance environments, such as private equity, IB or strategy consulting
• Think outside the box and out of the comfort zone
• Strong analytical skills, hands-on mentality and a lot of team spirit
• Detail-orientated and meticulous with an uncompromising desire for timeliness and accuracy of data
• High level of self-awareness and humility, with excitement about confronting uncomfortable situations or new challenges
• Ability to work well in a dynamic and rapidly changing environment
