In this role, you will own all aspects of the delivery of every project within the Core squad. As a financial institution, we take our clients' finances seriously, and that commitment starts with our technology. Security, performance, architecture, and coding practices are the foundation of everything we do. As the tech lead, you will spearhead all Mamo card-related development, from initial card issuance to advanced features like freeze functionality and single-use cards. You'll work closely with our product manager and lead product designer to bring new features to life, ensuring best-in-class user experience.

👇 What you will do

Work closely with Product Managers and Product Designers to identify user problems and solutions, and translate them into technical requirements.
Design & implement system architecture alongside backend, frontend and mobile engineers.
Perform code reviews and audits across frontend and backend codebases.
Identify and mitigate technical risks and operational inefficiencies.
Make key architectural and technical tooling decisions to future-proof Mamo’s product.
Document technical infrastructure, systems and components.
Keep up-to-date with industry trends and developments.
Research and prototype technologies and integrations.
Analyze and vet all third-party integrations.
Adopt an attitude of extreme transparency about challenges, failures and successes.
Setup, manage and improve CI/CD and release processes.

What we’re looking for

Strong technical design — avoids inessential complexity, accurately anticipates where corners can be cut and where they can’t.
Capable of writing code which is lucid and correct.
Strategic about managing technical debt.
Application security awareness.
Capable of working autonomously, with minimal supervision, in a dynamic environment.
Self-motivated, creative, team-oriented, with strong communication and presentation abilities, able to bridge business and technical audiences.
An advocate for documentation, transparent communication, and knowledge sharing.
Passionate about modern and innovative tech solutions and has a knack for introducing these to teams, products and existing code bases.
Can triage requests for features, prioritize, say "no" where necessary
Can be scrappy, quickly spinning up and prototyping projects when needed

You have

You have more than 7 years of professional experience with a minimum of 2 years as a tech lead.
BS/MA in Computer Science, Engineering or similar relevant field.
Strong leadership and organizational abilities.
Exceptional time management skills and the ability to delegate effectively and efficiently.
Able to break down a project into tasks that are consumable by engineers and has talent for breaking down first versions.
Excellent communication, motivational, and interpersonal skills.
Track record of ideation and innovating excellent technology at scale.
Deep and broad technical expertise (backend, frontend, mobile, devops, system architecture, testing, etc ...).
Demonstrated commitment to continuous improvement of development practices and processes.
Proven track record of designing and developing complex system architecture.
Prior experience in working with Scrum and/or Agile methodologies.
Strong command of the English language, both verbal and written is a must.

Bonus if you have

Payments, Fraud, Risk, E-Commerce or Finance background.
Experience with Ruby on Rails, Google Cloud Platform, Kubernetes, DevOps, Automation, BigQuery, SQL databases, Pub/sub.
