About Data:
The Data team oversees Analytics, Engineering, Science, and Automation, ensuring data is leveraged across the organization to drive growth, operational excellence, and competitive advantage.
The Data Science team develops advanced machine learning and statistical models to power product innovation and business growth. The team partners closely with product and business leaders, applying experimentation, validation, and deployment best practices to deliver impactful and scalable solutions.
The Role:
The Senior Data Scientist works independently on complex projects, mentoring others, and may supervise small teams.
What you will be working on:
Build advanced predictive and machine learning models with minimal supervision
Guide junior scientists in methods and model validation
Independently solve complex scientific and business problems
Contribute to data science strategy and best practices
Core Responsibilities:
Deliver advanced models that address business and product challenges
Mentor junior scientists in methods, validation, and delivery
Independently lead complex projects and provide actionable solutions
Contribute to the definition of data science strategy and standards
Skills and experience:
Proven ability to work independently on complex projects with minimal supervision
Strong expertise in predictive and machine learning model development
Experience mentoring junior team members in methods and validation
Ability to contribute to broader data science strategy and best practices
Ideal experience:
Aptitude or inclination towards mathematics or statistics, with advanced coding ability in Python
Advanced SQL skills, including window functions, DDL, and DML syntax, with the ability to understand and work with complex nested queries
Ability to work intuitively with disparate datasets and manipulate them to generate insights
Good experience in developing dashboards using Looker, Power BI, Tableau, or similar tools
Strong communication skills, with the ability to systematically break down problems, articulate key issues, and brainstorm solutions
Experience introducing and convincing stakeholders to adopt new analytical approaches or KPIs (e.g., RFM, cross-sell propensity)
Proactive and adaptable mindset with strong troubleshooting ability
Advanced understanding of statistical and machine learning models, such as Neural Networks, Random Forests, Linear Regression, Principal Component Analysis, and K-Means, including hyperparameter tuning and evaluation metrics (Accuracy, Confusion Matrix, etc.)
Experience working with Agentic AI solutions or LLMs in data science or analytical workflows
