About the Role

We are looking for a passionate, motivated, and pragmatic Senior Manager, Pricing and Revenue to lead our pricing optimisation efforts for the Wego hotels direct booking product. In this role, you will interact with stakeholders across data, commercial, marketing and finance. You will be managing the profitability as well as the demand generation of the hotels direct booking business, hence you will be creating market level pricing strategies and rules, whilst also working with paid marketing channels and distribution networks to drive volume while maintaining positive ROI.


What you will do:Pricing

  • Analyze the pricing landscape for each of our core markets, looking at key competitors, volume potential, pricing opportunities and create market level strategies for each key point of sale.
  • Working from this strategy you will help create pricing rules, with a focus on experimentation and testing hypotheses, in order to optimize volume and revenue to increase overall booking share and profitability.
  • You will analyze the channels that our users come in from to create channel specific pricing rules, so that we can boost paid marketing efforts with effective discounting.

Marketing

  • You will actively manage the demand generation for direct hotels booking, this can be via distribution channels, but also via paid marketing channels. As such you will need to create campaigns, price effectively and monitor campaign performance.
  • You will work with any paid channels that make sense for the product market fit, and monitor ROI and ROAS to ensure scale and profitability.
  • You will work closely with the central marketing team to coordinate campaigns, gain support for marketing activities and manage spend.

Data Analytics

  • Work closely with the central data team and VP of Data to collect requirements, scope data projects and work on a central data roadmap, managing pricing analytics projects.
  • Work closely with Commercial Managers, Marketing Managers, and Product Managers to analyse problem areas and scope potential new projects as well as defining KPIs and success criteria.
  • Own the A/B test pipeline for pricing and measure the impact of the changes and new features.
  • Develop data products in the form of data models, dashboards or ad hoc analysis to generate a deep understanding of profitability & pricing and help drive optimisation.
  • Help empower the hotel's team to become fully data-driven by driving and supporting a data culture of measurement, ideation, decision-making and prioritization.


Who you are:

  • You have 5 years or more of hands-on experience using data to drive product and business decisions.
  • You have a minimum of one year’s experience with pricing analysis, as well as project management experience.
  • You have a background in marketing, especially in paid channels, or you have experience in managing marketing initiatives to drive revenue.
  • You are highly analytical, data-driven, and have the ability to assemble, analyze and interpret data to influence decisions and communicate findings.
  • Technical requirements: intermediate/advanced SQL, experience with cloud data warehousing solutions like GCP and AWS, experience developing data models and dashboards using BI tools like Looker, Tableau or Qlikview, basic statistical knowledge, experience in Python/R would be a plus.
  • Interpersonal skills: stakeholder management, clear communication, ability to work in a multicultural environment.
  • You feel comfortable dedicating 80% of your time to hands-on tasks, and, if required, are ready to learn additional basic skills to get the work done.
  • You have a proactive approach, a good sense of ownership, and a can-do attitude.
