In this role, you are responsible for sourcing, developing and introducing product ranges that meet the needs of Toters Trade's wholesale customer base. The Demand Planner is expected to ensure the right products are available at the right time while maintaining optimal inventory levels and working closely with suppliers to support business growth.
Job Description
- Understand B2B customer demand, wholesale market trends, and the competitive landscape.
- Place appropriate orders to ensure product availability that meets customer demand.
- Make forecasts for product demand to ensure optimal inventory levels.
- Analyze sales data and market insights to identify trends and improve forecast accuracy.
- Develop exit strategies for unsuccessful products.
- Foster trust relationships with suppliers to achieve better pricing and quality of service.
- Optimize product assortment and inventory levels to maximize availability and profitability.
- Liaise with the Commercial to determine competitive pricing and promotional activities.
- Work closely with Warehouse, sales, and Operations teams to ensure product availability.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain or other relevant fields.
- A minimum of 2 – 4 years’ experience in a demand planning or forecasting role.
- Experience in FMCG, wholesale, retail, or food distribution is preferred.
- Solid understanding of inventory management practices and procedures.
- Strong mathematical and analytical skills.
- Capability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
