The Junior Treasurer supports the Treasury Team in managing the company’s cash operations, ensuring liquidity and maintaining strong internal controls. The role involves daily monitoring of cash flows, assisting with reconciliations, working closely with money transfer operators (MTOs) and banks, and supporting process automation initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in monitoring daily cash balances across all banks, wallets and MTOs.
- Handle all incoming and outgoing cash payments, banking and MTOs transactions on behalf of the company.
- Seek to maintain a positive professional relationship with partner financial institutions.
- Support the collection and reconciliation of driver deposits and cash-ins.
- Ensure timely execution of payments to merchants, suppliers and drivers.
- Perform daily, weekly and monthly reconciliations of bank statements and wallets.
- Support preparation of cash flow reports, including short-term forecasts and liquidity snapshots.
- Track divers’ last deposit dates, balances, and ensure compliance with deposit schedules.
- Ensure adherence to treasury policies and approval workflows.
- Assist in maintaining accurate documentation for audits and internal reviews.
- Support implementation of dual control and segregation of duties in treasury processes.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or master's degree in finance, accounting, economics or relevant field.
- Knowledge of financial legislation and practices.
- Knowledge of monetary markets, business investment management and financing strategies.
- Accuracy when computing and managing numbers.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Detail-oriented and ability to envision all aspects of business finances.
