About The Luxury Closet

The Luxury Closet is the Middle East's leading platform for buying and selling pre-owned luxury goods. We've raised over $30 million, serve customers across the GCC, and are building the future of circular luxury commerce. Our operations span the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and India, with a lean, high-ownership culture where every role has outsized impact.

We're at an inflection point — scaling into new markets, deepening our AI capabilities, and driving toward profitability. This is a company where finance isn't a back-office function; it's a core driver of strategic decisions.

The Role

We're looking for a VP of Finance who can own the entire financial function across multiple jurisdictions — UAE, India, and Saudi Arabia. This isn't a role where you inherit a playbook. You'll build the financial infrastructure that enables the next phase of growth, manage a team of accountants, and serve as a strategic thought partner to the CEO and the board.

The ideal candidate is an independent thinker who understands the drivers of growth — someone who can model a new market entry, pressure-test unit economics, and communicate the story behind the numbers to investors and board members with equal clarity.

What You'll Own

Financial Leadership & Strategy

  • Own all financial planning, analysis, and reporting across UAE, India, and Saudi Arabia
  • Build and maintain growth scenario models that inform capital allocation and market-entry decisions
  • Drive budgeting, forecasting, and cash-flow management with a focus on capital efficiency
  • Develop financial frameworks that connect operational metrics to business outcomes
  • Partner with the CEO on fundraising strategy, investor communications, and board reporting

Accounting & Compliance

  • Lead the accounting team, ensuring timely and accurate books across all entities and jurisdictions
  • Manage statutory audits, tax filings, and regulatory compliance in UAE, India, and Saudi Arabia
  • Own AML (Anti-Money Laundering) compliance for UAE operations, including KYC frameworks, transaction monitoring, and regulatory reporting
  • Ensure full compliance with UAE Corporate Tax, India GST, and Saudi VAT regimes
  • Manage transfer pricing and inter-company transactions across jurisdictions

Board & Investor Relations

  • Prepare board materials, financial decks, and management commentary for quarterly board meetings
  • Manage investor communications, data rooms, and due diligence processes during fundraising
  • Build and maintain the company's financial model, cap table, and scenario analyses for investor conversations
  • Serve as a credible, independent voice in board discussions on financial performance and strategic trade-offs

Legal & Corporate Governance

  • Oversee legal matters including commercial contracts, licensing, and corporate governance
  • Manage relationships with external legal counsel, auditors, and regulatory bodies across jurisdictions
  • Ensure the company's corporate structure and governance frameworks support growth and compliance requirements
  • Stay ahead of regulatory changes in UAE, India, and Saudi Arabia that impact the business

What We're Looking For

  • 15 years+ of progressive finance experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership role (VP Finance, Finance Director, or equivalent)
  • Chartered Accountant (CA) or equivalent professional qualification (CPA, ACCA)
  • Deep experience managing finance across multiple jurisdictions — UAE and India are essential; Saudi Arabia and USA is a strong plus
  • Background in e-commerce, marketplace, or technology-driven consumer businesses preferred
  • Experience with board reporting, investor relations, and fundraising processes
  • Hands-on knowledge of UAE regulations and compliance frameworks
  • Strong understanding of UAE Corporate Tax, India direct/indirect tax, and GCC VAT regimes
  • Ability to build financial models that go beyond reporting — models that drive decisions on growth, pricing, and market expansion
  • Experience working with Big 4 or a top-tier audit firm is a plus

Who Thrives Here

This role is a fit if you're the kind of finance leader who:

  • Thinks like an operator, not just a controller — you want to understand why revenue moves, not just report that it did
  • Communicates with clarity and conviction to boards, investors, and cross-functional teams
  • Takes ownership of ambiguous problems and drives them to resolution without waiting for direction
  • Is comfortable working in a lean, fast-moving environment where you'll build systems, not just manage them
  • Brings intellectual curiosity about the business — you're as interested in customer acquisition costs as you are in EBITDA
