Responsibilities
Experience: 3 to 5 years of core experience in managing payroll, compliance, and compensation structures (preferably in a fast-paced or corporate environment).
Education: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Finance, Commerce, or a related field (MBA in HR/Finance is a plus).
Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in MS Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, complex formulas) and hands-on experience handling modern HRMS/Payroll software (e.g., Keka, Darwinbox, GreytHR, RazorpayX).
Domain Knowledge: Strong understanding of Indian tax laws, CTC structuring, PF, ESI, Gratuity, and labor compliances.
Soft Skills: Exceptional attention to detail, high integrity when handling confidential data, and a customer-service mind set to solve employee queries patiently.
- End-to-End Payroll Management
- Own and execute the monthly payroll cycle for all employees accurately and within strict timelines.
- Collaborate with P&C Executives to gather inputs regarding new joiners, exits, attendance, leaves, and unpaid days (LWP).
- Ensure accurate calculations of gross-to-net pay, including deductions for TDS, Provident Fund (PF), ESIC, Professional Tax (PT), and Labour Welfare Fund (LWF).
- Partner with the Finance team to ensure timely fund disbursement and payroll reconciliation.
- Reimbursements & Claims Processing
- Verify, process, and approve monthly employee expense claims and flexible benefit allowances (FBP) in alignment with company policies.
- Resolve employee queries regarding tax exemptions, investment declarations, and reimbursement payouts.
- Increment Cycles & Compensation Administration
- Manage the operational execution of the annual/mid-year appraisal and increment cycles.
- Prepare and update compensation structures (CTC sheets) and generate formal increment/revised offer letters.
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date compensation data in the HRMS.
- Compliance, Tax & Reporting
- Ensure 100% compliance with all central and state labor laws concerning payroll.
- Coordinate year-end tax planning, proof verification, and issuance of Form 16.
- Generate monthly payroll dashboards, variance reports, and ad-hoc compensation analytics for the P&C Manager.
