Job Description

An eye for detail is key, as well as extensive technical understanding of leather goods materials, finishing and construction. The role involves thoroughly inspecting and review hundreds of products monthly to ensure they are 100% authentic, and meet the quality standards and are luxury brand compliant.

Responsibilites

  • Locate brand identifiers such as holograms, date codes, authenticity cards and hallmarks
  • Evaluate quality of materials and construction
  • Research items to determine style, name, season, and retail price
  • Inspect and process inbound leather goods adhering to strict standards of quality and authenticity.
  • Assist the customer support team in handling client requests about authentication related queries.
  • Constantly build up and update our knowledge database of authentication guidelines and references per brand
  • Maintaining a seamless flow of communication with multiple departments including photography, web content and customer service

Requirements

  • Previous quality control experience is essential, ideally luxury.
  • Excellent knowledge of fine leather work and rare skins
  • Education background in leather technology is highly preferable
  • Good communication and organizational skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong planning, organisational, multi-tasking skills
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • MS Office expertise: Word and Excel
  • Extremely reliable and trustworthy
  • Willingness to work 6 days a week during seasonality / peak period
