Responsibilities

We are looking for a passionate and energetic IT Technician; you will play a crucial role in maintaining and enhancing our IT infrastructure. You will be responsible for overseeing IT purchases, managing stock, and handling daily IT administrative tasks to ensure the smooth operation of our IT systems. Your attention to detail and technical expertise will be essential in supporting our organization's technology needs.   • Daily IT Support and Administrative Tasks:
  • Provide technical support to end-users, including troubleshooting hardware and software issues.
  • Install, configure, and maintain hardware and software, including operating systems and applications.
  • Perform routine system maintenance and updates to ensure system security and reliability.
  • Monitor and manage backup and recovery processes.
  • Maintain documentation for IT assets, procedures, and troubleshooting guides.
  • Collaborate with various departments to identify IT equipment and software needs.
  • Research, recommend, and source IT hardware and software solutions, ensuring cost-effectiveness and quality.
  • Create and maintain relationships with vendors and negotiate procurement agreements.
  • Ensure successful onboarding and offboarding of staff
  • Monitor incoming IT requests and action quickly and effectively.
  • Contribute to the effective management of stock.
  • Assist senior IT staff in various IT projects and initiatives
  • Provide training for staff on new technologies and systems as needed
  • Handle the disposal and recycling of obsolete IT assets in an environmentally responsible manner.
  • Assist in implementing and enforcing IT security policies and practices.
  • Conduct regular security assessments and ensure compliance with data protection regulations.
  • Proven experience in IT Support, including hardware and software procurement and management.
  • Strong knowledge of IT systems, networks, and infrastructure.
  • Proficiency in operating systems (Windows, macOS, Linux) and common business software applications.
  • Solid troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Familiarity with IT security best practices and data protection regulations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with various teams and external vendors.
  • IT certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+).
  • Experience with IT asset management software.
  • Knowledge of virtualization technologies.
  • Familiarity with cloud services (e.g., AWS, Azure).
