HALA is a leading fintech player in the MENAP region that aims to redefine financial services and build the future bank of SMEs. HALA aims at empowering SMEs to start, run, and grow their businesses by providing them with cutting-edge financial and technological tools.

HALA currently holds multiple entities in UAE, Saudi Arabia and Egypt (including HALA Payments, HALA Cashier and HALA Logistics) and offers solutions that enable merchants to digitize their payments as well as manage their sales and operations.

Founded in 2017, HALA is currently duly licensed by the Saudi Arabian Central Bank as well as the Financials Services Regulatory Authority (FSRA) in Abu Dhabi Global Market.

Agile Team Leadership

• Facilitate Scrum ceremonies (daily stand-ups, sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives) for teams working on POS financing solutions and related fintech products.
• Coach and mentor team members on Agile principles and practices, fostering a self-organizing, high-performing environment.
• Support the Product Owner in maintaining a well-groomed backlog, ensuring team alignment with business goals.
  
  

Data-Driven Decision Making

• Use Agile metrics (e.g., velocity, burndown charts) and team feedback to identify areas of improvement and drive continuous process optimization.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to interpret data and insights, helping the team adapt priorities and refine sprint goals as needed.
  
  

Collaboration and Communication

• Act as the primary liaison between leadership, product, engineering, and other cross-functional teams, ensuring transparency of progress and impediments.
• Facilitate open communication channels to promptly resolve blockers, manage dependencies, and maintain high-quality standards.
  
  

Provide regular updates to stakeholders, highlighting accomplishments, challenges, and opportunities for process enhancements

Education

Bachelor's degree in business administration, Software Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent field of studies

Experience

A minimum of 5 years of experience serving as a Scrum Master, Agile project manager, or similar role

Qualifications

Demonstrated success facilitating Agile teams in fast-paced or startup environments

Strong knowledge of Scrum and other Agile frameworks

Skilled at coaching cross-functional teams and fostering self-organization

Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

Proven ability to identify and remove impediments

Experience with Agile tools (e.g., Jira, Trello)

Scrum Master certification (e.g., CSM, PSM) is a plus

Familiarity with fintech, POS systems, or lending processes is beneficial
