The Role
This is a senior leadership role at the heart of how Fresha makes decisions. You will lead our analytics function — managing a team of analysts, setting the direction for our BI tooling and analytical practices, and running programmes of work that move the metrics that matter across sales, retention, growth, payments and product.
This is not a back-office support role. You will sit “in the middle” of the business — Commercial, Sales, Product, Finance, and Marketing — convincing teams of the right ideas and then seeing them through to actual change. You will also shape how we use AI tooling to scale our analytics capabilities and reach across the organisation.
To foster a collaborative environment that thrives on face-to-face interactions and teamwork, this role will be based in our dog-friendly office 4 days per week in London: The Bower, 207-122, Old Street, London EC1V 9NR.What You'll Do
- Manage a team of analysts, their workflows, and their development; coach and mentor them to grow into stronger operators, and backing up their professional development
- Set workflows and best practices across the team, with a particular focus on using AI tooling to supercharge our analytics capabilities and reach
- Set the direction of our BI apps and the methods we use for ad hoc and strategic analysis — notebooks, chatbots, search tools, and the wider analytics stack
- Build foundations and standards that scale: clean data access, clear definitions, consistent measurement, and self-serve tooling for the rest of the business
- Run analytics programmes across our core domains: sales, retention, growth, and payments
- Make sure we know how to measure each one, that the data is accessible, that people know where the opportunities and risks are, and that we are focusing on the highest-impact initiatives, not the easiest ones
- Identify, prioritise, and follow through on the bets that move the business. Analysis alone isn’t useful, but following through to actual impactful change is
- Communicate and convince other teams of the right ideas, then see them through to execution and change — analytics here is not a support function but a strategic partner
- Operate across Commercial, Sales, Product, Finance, and Marketing — this is an “in the middle” type role where landing an idea matters as much as finding one, and you must be able to flick between different contexts and levels of detail
