Your Responsibilities
Manage accounting processes for assigned entities (Poland, Ireland, France, and Spain), ensuring accuracy and compliance with local regulations and group policies
Review and approve cost invoices
Support month-end and year-end closing activities, including preparation and review of financial data
Review P&L accounts to identify missing invoices, accruals, prepayments, and other discrepancies
Reconcile balance sheet accounts (e.g. cash, prepayments, accruals, payroll-related accounts)
Prepare and review VAT and CIT returns, as well as financial statements for the Polish entity
Prepare VAT returns and coordinate with external accounting firms on CIT returns and financial statements for entities in Ireland, France, and Spain
Prepare audit documentation and coordinate with external auditors during statutory and group audits
Prepare ad hoc reports, analyses, and financial documentation
Identify opportunities to improve and automate accounting processes, with a strong focus on AI tools
Review financial data with a critical mindset, focusing on accuracy, consistency, and alignment with business context and budgets.
Our Requirements
- Minimum 4 years of professional experience in accounting, including experience in an independent role
- Strong knowledge of Polish GAAP, VAT, and CIT regulations
- Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field (or equivalent financial education)
- Strong understanding of accounting principles, standards, and financial reporting
- Experience working in a multi-entity and/or international environment
- Very good knowledge of English
- Very good knowledge of Excel
- Proactive, detail-oriented, with strong analytical skills and a focus on process improvement and automation
- Good organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- Experience with Sage Intacct (Group accounting software),
- Knowledge of Comarch ERP Optima (accounting software for Polish entity)
- Basic understanding of transfer pricing principles
- Experience with accounting for entities in Ireland, Spain, or France
